HyraNautics bolt on bow thrusters are mounted in pairs, one on each side of the boat approximately even with the drivers position on each side of the boat. The thrusters are mounted far enough aft and do not extend below the bottom of the boat so as not to interfere with beaching in most cases. HydraNautics stern thrusters are usually mounted to the swimplatform or directly to the transom wall.
Clutch Operated Hydaulic System
HydraNautics thrusters are powered by our clutched belt drive system mounted on the generator. Our system only draws power from the generator when you push on a joystick to manuever and disengages instantly when you release the joystick. Direct drive pumps used by our competitors hydraulic systems run all the time the generator is running wasting power and making less KW of electricity available.
